What RETIIRO is?

RETIIRO is an intelligent enterprise platform for retiring legacy ERP systems while preserving the insight and usability of the data they contain.

Every dormant system still carries years of decisions, prices, exceptions, and context your business ran on. RETIIRO shuts the system down and keeps that knowledge working: governed, queryable, and ready for the AI tools you’re building next.

  • Lower operating cost
  • Audit-ready reconciliation and reports
  • Enterprise-grade security

Legacy retirement and beyond

RetireIntelligentInsightfulReuseOperate

  1. 01

    Retire

    Retire legacy

Retire the system, not the record.

RETIIRO connects to your SAP environment read-only and extracts everything, including the cluster and pool tables most tools can’t decode cleanly, without touching production or disrupting the teams still using it during transition.

  2. 02

    Intelligent

    AI classification

Let Retiiro do the classification work.

Every extracted object is automatically modeled and domain-classified by AI, then reviewed and approved by your own SAP specialists before anything is finalized. Nothing is auto-published without a human checking it, so you get AI speed without handing over AI risk.

  3. 03

    Insightful

    Governed insight

Turn the archive into governed insight.

Retention rules, legal holds, field-level protection, and full audit trails apply from day one, not bolted on after a compliance question arrives. That’s the difference between an audit that takes an afternoon and one that takes a week of someone’s time reconstructing what happened.

  4. 04

    Reuse

    Reuse the data

Reuse the data as an asset, not a museum piece.

Once governed, retired data is structured and query-ready: a genuine input for analytics and AI initiatives, not a read-only vault you occasionally unlock. The data you already paid to collect keeps earning its keep.

  5. 05

    Operate

    Keep operating

    Keep operating, without the system.

Business users, finance, and audit teams get governed access through reports, prebuilt queries, a custom query builder, or a natural-language interface, with none of the licence, patching, or specialist overhead the original system required. The people who used to keep the old system alive get to work on something else.

Platform Architecture

The pipeline, end to end

  1. Extract
  2. Model & Classify
  3. Tier & Store
  4. Reconcile & Certify
  5. Govern
  6. Serve

Six stages, one continuous process. Nothing here is a separate tool bolted to the next. Each stage feeds the next automatically, with two deliberate human checkpoints: classification review, and certification sign-off.

01 · Extraction

  1. 1

    Extraction

RETIIRO connects to your SAP environment read-only. Nothing is written back, nothing in production is touched, and the connection can be revoked the moment extraction is complete. There’s no standing access left behind to audit later.

  2. 2

    Modeling & classification

Once extracted, raw tables become business objects: structured, meaningful units (a financial document, a customer record, a manufacturing order) rather than a flat dump of rows and columns nobody outside the original system could interpret.

This is where Retiiro Knowledge Pack does its core work: identifying what each piece of extracted data actually represents, and proposing how it should be modeled. That proposal is then reviewed and approved by SAP specialists before anything is finalized. The classification isn’t published automatically on the AI’s judgment alone.

RETIIRO proposes, a specialist confirms: you get the speed of automation without having to trust an unreviewed model with how your data gets classified.

  3. 3

    Tiered storage

Not every table earns the same storage cost. Some are queried constantly; others haven’t been touched in years but still have to be retained. RETIIRO applies a hot and cold storage model at the table level: each table sits in the tier that matches its actual access pattern, promoted or demoted as that pattern changes over time.

An AI layer monitors access and recommends when a table should move; your team makes the final call, with a manual override always available. Tiering happens at the whole-table level by design: a table’s records always move together, so there’s never a scenario where part of a table is fast and part of it isn’t.

  4. 4

    Reconciliation & certification

Before anything is considered migrated, it’s checked in three tiers, each stricter than the last:

    • Count reconciliation: do the record counts match, table by table?
    • Schema reconciliation: does the structure match what the source system actually held?
    • Row-level reconciliation: does every individual record match the source, field by field?

Mismatches are isolated and resolved before certification, not averaged away in a summary statistic. Certification itself requires two names: an analyst who verifies the reconciliation results, and an auditor who independently reviews the process before sign-off. The output is a dated decommissioning certificate: a specific, fileable record of what was checked and who confirmed it.

  5. 5

    Governance

Classification determines what a record contains, and that drives how it’s protected from the moment it’s classified, not after someone notices it should have been. Field-level masking, role-based access, retention rules, and legal holds apply automatically, configured per jurisdiction where your SAP estate actually operates. Every access (a report run, a field unmasked, a query answered) is logged.

  6. 6

    Serving governed access

Once data is classified, reconciled, and governed, it’s ready to be used through the standard report library, prebuilt queries, a custom query builder, or a natural-language interface, and increasingly through AI agents querying it directly via MCP.

Reports & Query Library

Every report your SAP system ever gave you. Plus every question it never anticipated.

Retiring a system usually means losing the reporting you built your habits around, and rebuilding it from scratch, slowly, one request at a time. RETIIRO ships with the reporting layer already in place: standard reports ready to run, prebuilt queries across every core process, a builder for everything else, and a way to ask a plain question when none of that fits.

See the depth before you take our word for it

We’d rather you look than take a claim on faith. RETIIRO ships with:

  • 100+

standard SAP reports, ready to run on day one, with no build phase before finance or audit can self-serve

  • 200+

prebuilt queriesacross finance, procurement, sales, and operations

  • A custom query builder for everything the standard library doesn’t anticipate

  • A natural-language query layer for everyone else

Fewer requests routed through IT, fewer weeks spent rebuilding reports that already existed in the old system. The reporting layer works from day one instead of being a second project.

Two kinds of reporting, not one

Most retirement platforms give you one thing: a generic way to browse whatever got archived. That leaves two real needs unmet: the reports your teams already relied on, and the reports SAP itself produced that people expect to see exactly as they looked.

RETIIRO covers both.

Governed reports and queries, built for the retired data.

100+ standard SAP reports and 200+ prebuilt queries, organized by process area, ready to run against your retired data from day one: filtered, sorted, and exported the way a working report should behave.

Classic SAP reports, preserved as they were.

Beyond the governed library, RETIIRO can produce reports exported directly from SAP (the same layouts your finance and audit teams already know) and store them as searchable, filterable records. Each one carries its own provenance: who ran it, when, and under what selection. When an auditor asks to see a report “the way it looked in SAP,” that’s a literal answer, not an approximation rebuilt after the fact.

Security, Governance & Compliance

Compliance doesn’t end when the system does. Neither does our responsibility for it.

A system going dark doesn’t make GDPR, tax law, or a ten-year retention mandate go away. It just means there’s no longer a system standing between your data and the people who shouldn’t see it. RETIIRO is built so that governance isn’t something you configure after go-live. It’s the condition every record is extracted under, from the first day.

A completeness claim you can actually check

Most retirement platforms will tell you their migration was complete. Few will show you how they know.

RETIIRO reconciles every migrated record against the source system in three passes, each one stricter than the last:

  1. Count reconciliation. Does the number of records match, table by table, before anything else is checked?

  2. Schema reconciliation. Does the structure (fields, types, relationships) match what the source system actually held?

  3. Row-level reconciliation. Does every individual record match, field by field, against the source, not sampled, not estimated?

Deployed where you already trust your data to be

RETIIRO runs on-premises or in your chosen cloud, private or public. There’s no proprietary storage format that ties your retired data to us; what’s extracted stays inspectable and exportable, in structures your own team can read without our platform standing between you and it.

Access governed at the field, not the folder

Retiring a system usually means the fine-grained access control that protected sensitive fields inside SAP disappears along with it, replaced by an all-or-nothing archive that either shows everything or locks everything down.

RETIIRO keeps access control at the level it actually matters: the field. Personally identifiable information, financial figures, and other sensitive data are masked by default and protected under role-based access: a user sees what their role permits, nothing more. Every decryption or unmask action is logged, so “who saw this, and why” is answered automatically, not investigated after the fact.

Retention and legal hold that don’t rely on someone remembering

Retention obligations rarely expire on a convenient schedule, and they don’t wait for someone to notice a deadline approaching. RETIIRO applies retention rules and legal holds automatically, configured per data category and jurisdiction at the point of classification, not managed by a spreadsheet someone has to review every quarter.

When a legal hold is placed on a record, it’s enforced platform-wide, immediately, regardless of what retention schedule would otherwise apply. When a retention period lapses without a hold, disposition follows the rule that was set for it, consistently, not case by case.

Positioning

An intelligent SAP system retirement platform built by SAP practitioners that proves data completeness and governance, while transforming retired data into a governed, accessible, and valuable business asset.

Why it can’t wait

Three reasons legacy SAP is on the clock. Most urgently for SAP ECC.

  •  days
     hours
     minutes
     seconds

    The clock is running out.

SAP ends standard support for ECC at the end of 2027. Every year you stay on it after that costs more and carries more risk.

    • 2027Standard support ends
    • 2030Extended support, at extra cost
  • Moving to S/4HANA leaves the old system behind.

The upgrade moves the business forward, but years of ECC data and the system that holds it still need an answer. RETIIRO retires the system and keeps that data working.

  • The old system keeps costing more.

Keeping legacy SAP alive means licences, servers, patches and the few specialists who still know how it works. That bill grows every year, and the skills get harder to find, all to support the occasional lookup. RETIIRO turns that open-ended running cost into a one-time move: the system is switched off for good, and its data stays governed and in reach.

  • A system kept alive “just in case” still needs patching, licensing, and someone who remembers how it works. Every year that continues, that cost compounds, and the people who understand the old system get harder to find. Retirement converts an open-ended liability into a one-time, governed transition, and frees that budget and that headcount for something else.

  • Right now, RETIIRO is purpose-built for SAP retirement specifically, including the cluster and pool decoding that generic tools handle poorly. That focus is deliberate: we’d rather do SAP retirement exceptionally well than everything adequately.

  • You keep more reporting ability than you had before, in most cases: 100+ standard reports and 200+ prebuilt queries are available from day one, plus a query builder and natural-language access for anything not already covered. Nobody has to wait on a rebuilt report to close a period.

  • No. Classification runs on an in-boundary model, inside your own environment.

  • Storage tiering is applied at the table level: a whole table is promoted or demoted between hot and cold storage based on how often it’s accessed, either by manual decision or AI recommendation. Individual rows within a table always stay together in the same tier, so there’s no risk of a single table’s data being split or partially unavailable.

  • As long as your regulatory obligations require. Retention rules and legal holds are configured per jurisdiction and enforced automatically, not managed manually as the years pass.

  • In your infrastructure or your chosen cloud. There’s no proprietary format that locks the data to us; what’s extracted stays inspectable and exportable.

Switch the old system off. Keep everything it knew.
